Dayhike Stauton State Park

Directions to the Hampden and Wadsworth PnR. Go south on Wadsworth out of Denver. Go one block past Hampden. The PnR will be right there on the west side of Wadsworth. Please be there by 8:15 am.
Directions to the Park: https://cpw.state.co.us/placestogo/parks/Staunton/Pages/MapsDirections. We'll meet at the parking lot at the visitor's center. The center opens at 9:00am. It's well worth your time to go inside. There are restrooms there.

The Hike: We can start by doing the easy 1.5 mile hike around Davis Ponds. Then, back to the vehicles, we'll drive the short ways up to the Meadow parking lot on the right. From there we'll hike around to the back country campsites to see which one(s) we want to stay at later.
Hiking distance should be around five to six miles total.
