Dayhike Strawberry Jack Trail. Pine Valley Ranch

I was up there today. Wednesday. The fall colors are just starting to appear. There won't be much color until at least the middle of next week.
Directions to the Hampden and Wadsworth PnR. Go south on Wadsworth out of Denver. Go one block South of Hampden. The PnR will be right there on the west side of Wadsworth. Please be there by 8:00 am.

Directions to the trailhead. Take Rt. 285 southwest out of Denver. At Pine Junction (there is a light there) turn left onto County Road 126. Go about six miles and turn right following signs to the Park.
The hike: I have been in this area before but have not hiked this trail. It's going to start out with a climb up above the lake. After the climb we'll come to the Strawberry Jack Trail where we can decide which way we want to go.
That far out of town I'm not sure where you'll get phone service.
There are restrooms at the trailhead.
Well behaved dogs are allowed. No Pitbulls.
