Snowshoe Aspen and spike up to Hanging Lake.

This is wonderful weekend of snowshoeing, some good restaurants and spiking up to Hanging Lake.
We drive to Glenwood on Saturday. Possibly do a moonlit snowshoe that evening at Sunlight Mountain Ski Resort.

On Sunday, we do a snowshoe near Aspen. On Monday, we spike up to Hanging Lake on our way home.

We will be staying at Cedar Lodge in Glenwood. Our discounted rate is $114 plus tax for two beds/one night. You have to tell them you are with my group to get our discount. 970-945-6579 is the number to call and reserve your room. When you sign up for this weekend, please call the lodge and reserve your room. They are nice enough to reserve rooms for us and give us discounted rate. It makes it easier on them if they can keep a current idea about their reservations.

You will need a permit to go up to Hanging Lake. We will be going up there on Monday. You get your permit here: Hanging Lake Reservations & Hiking Permits - Trail Info & Status

Reserving your room and getting your permit to go up to Hanging Lake are up to you. Get the Hanging Lake permit for 9:00am Monday morning.
You will need snowshoes and spikes for this trip. And, of course, poles are always helpful.
We can try to set up a carpool if people want to.
