Directions to the Park ‘n Ride: Directions to the I-70 and Woolly Mammoth PnR: Going west out I-70 take exit 259. Drive straight at the stop light. Don’t follow the road around to the right. If the light is green, turn to the right. If the light is red, turn to the right after it turns green. After turning, get into the left turn lane. Turn left and go up the hill. We’ll meet under the LL sign. Please be there by 8:00 am.
Directions to the trailhead. Drive west on I-70. As soon as you exit the Eisenhower tunnel- there is NO ramp- pull into the parking area on the right. Park over on the right, away from the highway.
The hike: This should be a snowshoe. And we'll have to find where the trail is. We'll snowshoe up into the bowl until we are half tired and then back to the cars.
There are no restrooms at the trailhead.
There is a great Bar BQ place in Idaho Springs on our way back.
