Directions to the Park ‘n Ride: We'll select a place to meet depending on the hikers.
Directions to the trailhead: We'll drive out U.S. 285. We'll turn right onto the Guanella Pass Road. We'll drive up that road and leave a vehicle Burning Bear (ouch) CG parking area. We'll then drive on up to Guanella Pass where the Rosalie Trail Head is.
The hike: We'll hike down the Rosalie trail to the intersection with the Abyss trail. We'll camp there. On Saturday, we'll day hike up to Abyss Lake. (Abyss Lake Hike Guide - Virtual Sherpa) and back. On Sunday, we'll hike down the Abyss Trail to our vehicle.
There are restrooms at the trailhead.
Well behaved dogs are allowed. No Pitbulls.
