Turkey Creek Hike
Less than 6% chance of rain throughout the hike, 57 degrees at start and 70 degrees at hike end. Bring a bottle of water for you and any dogs you bring. This is an officially off leash park so expect to pass many dogs. We are likely to do a couple of loops, but not exactly the same trails - as there are a number outlier trails, not on the main sequence. From Mopac go west on 2222, cross under 360 and then take a left on City Park Rd, proceed quite a ways on City Park Rd following signs toward Emma Long. Just after you go over the bridge crossing Turkey Creek the trail parking lot will be on the right. If you have gone to the actual pay entrance to Emma Long - you will have gone too far. Hello Everyone!

I inherited this Meetup because I like to hike in the morning, ... the hikes will be scheduled usually every weekend on area trails early in the morning, usually close to dawn - but hikes any time are possible. In the summer they will be earlier to avoid the Texas heat! After the hike we will usually meet somewhere for breakfast, close to the hiking trail.

By the way - I will make anyone who wants to create hiking events an asst. organizer. I'm always open to new ideas on trails to take and breakfast places... so let me know if you have something in mind!

I hope you have fun on our hikes! See you on the trail !
