# 🏔️ SATURDAY — SCAFELL PIKE

Our main challenge is Scafell Pike, England's highest mountain at 978m (3,209 ft).
📍 Start: Great Langdale, approximately 9:00am
📏 Route: 10–11 miles / 16–18 km
⏱️ Approximately 8 hours walking / 9 hours including breaks
💪 Demanding / strenuous
Expect steep climbs, descents, rocky and uneven mountain terrain and changeable weather.
This is NOT a beginner's hike. Previous long-distance or mountain hiking experience is strongly recommended.
The exact route may be adjusted depending on weather, conditions and group safety.

# 🧭 EXPERIENCED MOUNTAIN GUIDE

The event is led by an experienced, professionally trained and qualified Mountain Leader, with first-aid training and extensive mountain experience.
Our guide has completed Scafell Pike more than 50 times over approximately 20 years and has extensive experience of mountain navigation, route management and group leadership.

# 🛏️ FRIDAY — GREAT LANGDALE HOSTEL

Please arrive in the Lake District by Friday evening.
🚆 Train travellers should aim to arrive at Windermere Station by approximately 9:00pm, where we will arrange transfer to Great Langdale.
🚗 A car group will also travel from London, with limited spaces potentially available.
We have accommodation at a YHA hostel in Great Langdale.

We aim to return towards Windermere Station in time for the journey home.

We have booked absolutely the best Hostel in all of Snowdonia for this hike. The hostel is family run and very clean and welcoming. The hike up mount Snowdon starts from the doorstep of the hostel. Also the way up and down to Mount Snowdon on Saturday is the most scenic and most picturesque route available compared to the other 7 routes available. The organiser has over 20 years experience organising group hiking events in North Wales. So we have selected the best routes up and down the mountain and booked the absolute best hostel in all of Wales for this event.

# 🏔️ SATURDAY — MOUNT SNOWDON

Our main challenge is Mount Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), the highest mountain in Wales at 1,085m.
📍 Start: Approximately 9:00am directly from the hostel
📏 4.5 miles up + 4.5 miles down = 9 to 10 miles total.
⏱️ Approximately 8 hours including breaks
💪 Demanding mountain hike
Expect steep climbs, rocky and uneven mountain terrain and changing weather.
This is NOT a beginner's hike. Previous long-distance or mountain hiking experience is recommended.
The exact route may be adjusted depending on weather and mountain conditions.

# 🛏️ FRIDAY — SNOWDONIA HOSTEL

We have booked absolutely the best-located hostel in Wales for this hiking adventure, providing an excellent base for Mount Snowdon.
🚆 Train group: Depart London Friday afternoon and aim to arrive at Bangor Station by approximately 8:30pm.
🚗 Car group: Drivers will travel from London or nearby areas on Friday afternoon.
The hostel is ideally located so that the Saturday hike starts approximately 9:00am directly from the hostel.
