Highlighted Trail: Green Lake to Round Lake LoopDistance: ~2.9–3.7 miles (figure-8 loop)Difficulty: Easy/Beginner-friendlyTime: Approximately 1.5–2 hoursTerrain: Mostly flat, well-groomed gravel and wood chips.

While the main Green Lake Trail is often paved and crowded near the beach, the Round Lake portion feels like a true forest hike. It circles a National Natural Landmark featuring vibrant turquoise water and ancient white cedars.

We will meet at 11 am and start at 11:30 to give anyone time to find the group.

How to find it: Park at the main lot near the Green Lakes Beach and Boathouse.

Follow the Grey Trail markers.Walk along the west side of Green Lake until you reach the Tween Lakes Trail (connector), which leads you directly to the wood-chipped path around Round Lake.

Entrance Fee: There is a $10 vehicle entry fee during the peak season (typically starting in late May).
it will be free on this hike since it is before memorial weekend.

Safety Tip: according to online weather ch. they are calling for an overcast, semi-chilinday (54*F) Be sure to bring layers, plenty of water/Gatorade, packed lunch (sandwich 🥪 or something while we will take a small break at a good vista point before heading back! Will bring extra granola bars and trail mix for the group but feel free to also pack your own of you would like as well. the hike should be ~2-2.5 hrs total including waiting for the group to all be together and a small break.

Be sure to pack deet spray, wear good walking / hiking shoes as these trails are pretty beginner friendly, as always be sure to check for ticks, especially if we walk into the the meadow sections.

This time we aren't being are fur babies but will most definitely also host a meet up for our furry friends to join us as well! 🤗🐾
