Part of Sawmill Trail from Rocky Mouth TH

Details
The days are getting longer and the temps more pleasant. So, it is time to kick things into gear. This week, we will hike from the Rocky Mouth TH to the waterfall and then over and up the Sawmill Trail. The hike will total at least 4.5 miles (more depending on our pace). The first mile will be relatively flat, shaded, and pleasant with a beautiful waterfall. The next 1.5 miles will be EXTRA steep, gaining 1800 ft. If we make good time, we will continue past the waypoint on the linked map. Please bring plenty of water and sunscreen and a durable set of legs. For those looking for a gentler experience, you are welcome to join use for the first mile and either (1) head back from there; or (2) walk over to the Bear Canyon Suspension bridge while we forge up the mountain. Here is the GAIA link for the route:
Please bring a headlamp for the route down, while I'll aim to have us down the sawmill trail before darkness, the mile between the sawmill trail and the TH is in the tress.
