Wednesday Night: Three Falls from Peak View Trail

Details
The days are getting longer, so too are the hikes! This Wednesday, we will head down south to the Draper/Suncrest and hike the Three Falls trail from the Lone Peak Trailhead. The hike will be up to 8.4 miles on and out-and-back trail (we will hike outbound until about 8:20/8:30 so that we are back by 10 p.m.), with a rolling gross elevation gain of 1350 ft. The highpoint of the hike is about 1.5 miles in, so we'll have some uphill on both the outbound and the inbound part of the trail. Given the relatively flat nature of the trail, expect an average pace of 25 minutes per mile. As we will be pushing daylight, please (1) bring a headlamp; and (2) be sure to arrive no later than 6:40, as that is when we'll be hitting the trail (rather than our customary 15-minute wait period).
