Wednesday Night: Beartrap Fork to Wasatch Crest Trail

This Wednesday, as we approach the longest day of the year, we have quite a dandy of a trail to challenge ourselves. We will do a point-to-point hike, utilizing the Beartrap Fork and then Wasatch Crest. The first 2.2 miles will feature a steep ascent of 2217 ft. Then we will traverse 4.6 miles along the Wasatch Crest from Desolation Peak over to Scott's Hill, before heading down to the Wasatch Crest Connect trailhead (or further down Guardsman road depending on where we can stage cars. As we saw last week, there is always a chance of some stray snowfields still. Otherwise, please bring a headlamp and meet at Beartrap at 6:30 and leave a little extra time for arriving given the one-lane construction in the area.
