Wednesday Night: Alta Double Pass, Triple Peak Loop

Details
With snow close to all melted, our range of terrain continues to expand. This Wednesday, we will head up Little Cottonwood Canyon for the first time this year and hike from the Alta area (from the main road across from the Albion Base and just past the Rustler Lodge). We will head up to Twin Lakes Pass, travel the ridgeline and hit Patsy Marley Peak, Mt. Wolverine, and Mt. Tuscarora before hitting Catherine's Pass and heading back down into Albion Basin. Total distance is 6.4 miles with about 2000 ft of net gain and 2400 ft of total elevation gain. The hike will involve a few class 2 scrambles. Here is a link for the route:
Please be prepared to maintain a pace of 30-minute miles on the uphill sections and 25-minute miles on the downhill sections. If anyone wants to carpool from the base on LCC, post a comment. As we will be coming down as light dissipates and Albion Base is known for moose that blend in pretty well with the bushes at dusk, please bring a headlamp. Also, please be prepared to encounter some scattered patches of snow as we work our wat around the peaks.
