Wednesday Night: Guardsman Pass, 10420 Peak, & Clayton Peak

Details
Next week is looking quite warm, so we'll head up to the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon and gain some cool air through elevation. Our hike will start at the hairpin turn on Guardsman Pass Rd just past the turn from Brighton. We will head up to Guardsman Pass, then head south along the ridgeline and hit 10420 Peak and Clayton Peak. From there, we will go over to the top of Snake Creek Express, before heading down to the Brighton parking lot. The point-to-point hike will cover 6.2 miles with 2550 ft of elevation gain. Some scrambling and loose footing will occur going up 10420 and Clayton Peaks. Here is the GAIA map for the hike:
Please bring a headlamp for the route down. Please note that we will meet at the Brighton parking lot and carpool to our starting point, so be on time (or at least be there by 6:35 so that we can start no later than 6:45, accounting for the drive).
