Fall Mirror Lake Camp Out and Picnic with Sunday Hike

As our summer camp out/hang out event was a big hit, we will be doing a similar event this Fall.

On the weekend of September 20th, we'll make camp up in one of the dispersed spots along Mirror Lake Highway and visit some of the falls on the Provo Falls. On September 21, we'll do breakfast at camp, go for a hike to one of the many lakes in the area (possibly Island Lake, Big Elk, or Ibantik) and have a potluck picnic before heading home around 4 p.m. The hike will be in the 5 to 7 mile range, and generally flat by our group's standards. We also might get a few kayaks in the water on Lost Lake, if there's interest.

For those that want to, we'll also hike the Wasatch County High Point afterwards. I will post this separately.

This is a low key event, more about hanging out than camping or hiking. Thus, you're welcome to join us for all or just part of the event. Guests are also welcome. When signing up, please just indicate what part of the event you'll be attending (I may just be there for all day Sunday and not Saturday night).

If we're lucky, the fall colors should be wonderful right around then.
