Edgar Allan Poe House & Museum (Baltimore, MD) : Dive into Poe’s life in the very house where he lived, see his writing desk, and learn about Baltimore’s literary history.
- Tours run 11 am – 4 pm on Fridays, but reservations are required.
- Parking: There is limited street parking on N. Amity Street, right outside the Poe House. For larger vehicles or if street parking is full, there’s a pay-to-park garage a couple of blocks away (Baltimore & Poppleton Streets).
Ticketing: Go to their ticketing page: Poe Baltimore “Tickets & Visit” section. Choose “Admission to Edgar Allan Poe House & Museum (timed entry)”. Select your date and time — tours run Thursday–Sunday, 11 am–4 pm.
Pick how many tickets you want and whether you want the souvenir guide book / phone tour add‑on.
- Tours last ~45 minutes.
- All ticket sales are final, but you can reschedule at least 24 hours before via text (443‑327‑9789).
The house is very small — each tour is limited to 16 people.
- There are no restrooms in the building.
- It’s not ADA accessible (steep narrow stairs).
- Reservations are released on a rolling basis, usually about 30 days out.
