Let's take advantage of the warm winter weather with a relaxed architectural photo walk through downtown Richmond. Expect long shadows, clean angles, and lots of opportunities to explore texture, scale, and historic facades.
What to Expect
- Slow, steady walk through Capitol Square → Broad Street corridor → Dominion Energy Center area
- Frequent stops for architectural framing, perspective practice, and street scenes
- About 1.5–2 miles, mostly flat sidewalks
- Great for beginners and more experienced photographers alike
What to Bring
- Camera (any kind, even a phone)
- Wide or normal lens recommended; telephoto optional
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Water + light layers (forecast ~60°)
Where to Meet
Bank Street visitor entrance to Capitol Square (look for the group with cameras). (Meeting location Google Maps link)

Easy. Urban sidewalks with gentle pacing.
Dogs
Welcome if they’re comfortable with traffic, noise, and crowds. Must be leashed.
Notes
This is a weather-dependent event. We will only cancel if conditions become unsafe.
