Houtong to Sandiaoling waterfall and jungle hike.

This is a great little hike with waterfalls.It's especially rewarding with a combination of great scenery, rural settings and industrial history.

We will take train 4162 from Songshan train station to Houtong ( meet up at the station near the fake train carriage shop next to the ticket barrier) at 9:25 or on the train...the train leaves Songshan at 9:39). We'll get off at Houtong station then head to the trail. The trail winds up through forest, follows several small streams and passes waterfalls.

We finish in Sandiaoling where we can catch a train back to Taipei.

Moderate hike, about 4 hours hiking time, train takes about an hour each way, trail could be wet and muddy. Bring snacks and water, lunch raincoat and easycard.
