Greetings Everyone - On Sunday we are going to visit the parks, beaches and coastal trails around Long Bay. The hike will be on a mixture of trails, roads and paved walkways. This is a relatively easy hike that will be hiked at a medium pace - first timers are welcome.

Duration: About 5h hours hike including stops.
Distance: 12-14 km.
Elevation gain: less than 100m
Difficulty: 2 on our 1-5 scale for day hikes.
Speed: medium

● Cost: - $5 for car poolers

● First Timers & Regulars:

  • Check the weather - do you have the correct clothing and shoes?.
  • Do you know where the meeting places are?
  • Prepare everything you need to bring.

● Direct Drivers:

  • Meet at 2 Cliff Road, Torbay

● Carpooling (New World):

  • Carpooling will be arranged for everyone meeting at New World.
    Please ANSWER the RSVP question. Note, depending on driver, masks might be needed.

Time Guideline:
09:15 - Good time to arrive New World
09:30 - Car pooling arranged
10.00 - Arrive at 2 Cliff Road, Torbay
10.10 - Instructions and start hike
15:00 - Finish hike
15:15- After hike drinks and nibbles at Long Bay Surf Club

● Bring:

  • Day pack
  • Lunch and drink, (1-3L Water)
  • clothing suitable for Winter
  • sun and emergency rain protection
  • first-aid items.

● Other Information:

  • To help avoid dirtying someone else's car (if you are a carpool passenger; please bring a plastic bag and extra footwear for after the hike).

If you are unable to come please change your RSVP status otherwise you be marked as a no-show.
