📌Okahukura Peninsula - Manukapua island

We will visit Manukapua sand island within the Kaipara harbour which is the largest harbour in the southern hemisphere. We plan to hike around the northern half of Manukapua sand island. The tide will be out so it is unlikely you will get your feet wet. There are almost no trees for shade so be prepared for sun exposure. We return to the same place we started from at Okahukura road. There maybe others who are staying for the weekend at Court yard house, who will join us for this hike. As it is Friday it is likely that it will be reasonably small group.

13:40 Finish hike - Day hikers depart back to Auckland or
13:55 Courtyard house for drinks before departing (optional)
Note: You can not buy drinks or food here, so you may need to bring your own, but there is a kitchen available for you to use.
14:45 Depart back to Auckland
16:00 Approximately arrive back in Auckland

🚩 Transport:
There is no car pooling organised for this event at New World, and you will need to drive direct. If you need a driver or passenger to go with, please let me know and I will contact the person. (Meetup no longer allows direct messaging unless you pay a subscription). You can also use the comments section to arrange your own car pooling.
$25 to your driver - if passenger (based on 10c/km with 2 passengers)
