Information Session:9-12 days Peru trip to see Machu Picchu - September 2025

9-12 days Peru trip to see the majestic Machu Picchu, hike the Inca Trail, Rainbow Mountain and Humantay Lake, see Cusco and the Sacred Valley!

12 days, August 29-September 10, 2025 with the option to shorten to 9 days for those who prefer a shorter trip.

I will host a Zoom information sessions on 13 – July and on 20-July at 7PM EST to discuss details and agenda for those interested in going. Zoom details will be sent to those who register for the information session through the Meetup Messager.

Itinerary:
· 2-3 days in Lima
· 8 days /7 nights tour by Alpaca Expedition from Cusco, Peru. The cost of this portion of the trip is approximately $1,725 per person depending on the hotel selected. The tour includes hiking the Inca Trail (2days), Machu Picchu, and hiking to the Rainbow Mountain; https://www.alpacaexpeditions.com/highlights-of-cusco/. The Tour operator charges $400 non-refundable deposit at the time of booking
· 1 extra day in Cusco to hike to Humantay Lake

For those who prefer a shorter trip, Lima and an extra hike in Cusco can be skipped.

The cost of the air fare to/from Peru, hotel in Lima, hotel in Cusco prior to/post the start of the 8 day Alpaca Expeditions Tour, food, travel insurance, airport transfers are not included in the above estimates. The above estimates are taken from the Alpaca Expedition web page.

This is a moderate to vigorous difficulty adventure. Participants must be prepared to hike at high altitude.

Everyone is responsible for their air fare to /from Peru and hotel/tours/ food/travel insurance/gratuities in Lima and all expenses not covered by the Alpaca Expeditions tour (see details on their website). I am a licensed travel agent and am happy to assist with arranging hotels, transfers, and tours of your choice or for us as a group. However, you are not required to use my service and I am not acting as a tour guide; we each are accountable for our own arrangements. I will not collect any payments- all payments will be made directly to Alpaca expeditions or hotels/tour operators.
