Race Brook Falls + Mount Race + Black Rabbit

6+ miles / 3-4 hrs / brief difficult section / 1700 ft hell-evation

Race Brook Falls isn't a gusher but yet is a stunning 3-tiered hidden gem on the east side of the Taconic Range adjacent to the Appalachian Trail. Our hike will traverse and criss-cross the idyllic Race Brook as we make our way to the falls, then continue upward to the A.T. and farther on to Mount Race. There, we'll enjoy sweeping views, and an enormous rock monument, before returning to the parking area.

Afterward, we'll reconvene at Black Rabbit Bar & Grill in Lakeville for some excellent pub grub and drinks.
