Challenging Kayak of Upper Econfina Creek - Scott Road to Seashell Campsite

Details
Join us for a challenging paddle of the upper section of Econfina Creek, starting at Scott Road bridge and ending at Seashell campsite. This will be a very challenging all day (or longer) event for those with at least intermediate kayak skills and versatile boats. You will need to be capable of portaging your kayak and gear across several log jams, work a fast-moving narrow ravine area with nowhere to tie off or get out. This is not for beginners or the faint of heart. PFDs and whistles are required and must be worn at all times. You will need food and drinks for all day and evening, and plan for the possibility of not finishing the same day. Headlamp and waterproof flashlights are also required, and whatever you might need to spend the night along the creek. Before RSVP'ing please call to discuss going.
