Chapter Meeting - Special Topic: Econfina Creek Clearing

Join us for our monthly meeting as we have a couple of speakers who will be talking about their recent experience with clearing and kayaking Econfina Creek in the upper section. For those that don't know, Econfina Creek has long been considered one of the more challenging and rewarding kayak trips in the Panhandle. But, with the damage wrought by Hurricane Michael in 2018, the creek has been effectively closed north of Blue Springs for years. Only recently have dedicated volunteers been able to clear hurricane damage, and other more recent blockages. But the work continues as trees continue to fall into the creek from bank erosion or other issues. Come learn about the status of the creek, kayaking the length of it, and see some great photos and videos taken just recently.

Afterwards, we will have our monthly general business meeting that everyone is welcome to attend.
