The Best is Yet to Come Series - Hike #3
Details
We will explore a diverse mix of plants and animals as we hike the approximately 10-mile Crooked Creek Long Trail. This is a multi-use path shared by hikers and off-road bikers. Come join us as we build up our endurance and distance for a New Year’s Day 20-miler. Crooked Creek Long Trail is on the East side of Hwy 79 in Pine Log State Forest. You must carry your own adequate water and food supply to participate. Plan to fuel your body before and during the hike. Dehydration is preventable. 1 L for every 2 to 3 miles is the recommendation. Also plan to replenish electrolytes. Wear sturdy shoes, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, bug spray, and whatever else you need for an enjoyable hike. Sorry, no pets permitted on this series.
