Join the Panhandle Chapter of the Florida Trail Association for a 5 mile out-and-back hike in the Choctawhatchee River Section (CRS) of the Florida National Scenic Trail. We will start at the Cowford Landing boat ramp, walk along State Route 20 for a short distance, and then begin the trail. It is a beautiful trail with a variety of plant life, a beautiful boardwalk across a cypress laden creek. We are having beautiful spring weather and this is the time to get out and hike!

Cowford Landing is at 245 Big Cedar Road, Bruce, FL. The entrance is on the south side of State Route 20, west of the Choctawhatchee River bridge. We usually park under State Route 20, and meet in that area.

Please bring drinks and snacks, sturdy hiking shoes or sneakers, bug spray, sunscreen. It may get muddy, but with the lack of rain lately, it is not probable. If you have any questions please contact the hike leaders via Meetup messaging, or contact Darryl at 850-819-0414 or dupdegrove@gmail.com
