The Best is Yet to Come Series - Hike #7
Details
Let's get the Highway Party Started! Don your holiday hiking attire, and let's jingle on the Highway 20 Christmas Bell Ball Buster! The FNST includes some road walking to connect the trails along this 1500+ mile footpath. Hike #7 is 12.6 miles along Hwy 20. We will mark off the completion of each mile with a verse from the 12 Days of Christmas. Wear comfortable shoes, comfortable clothes, bring bug spray, hat, sunglasses, plenty of water, electrolytes, lunch/snacks. We will have some fun as we cover the miles. At the end, we will drive to the Chevron at the corner of Hwy 20 and Hwy 77, a common stop for thru-hikers, known for its hot fried chicken. Sorry, no pets on this hike. At the end of this series, we will have covered the entire Eastern Panhandle section of the FNST from Altha through Nokuse (90 miles). Hope you will be a part of it!
Next up, the final hike in this series, New Year's Day on Upper Econfina. Plan for a half day or whole day. We will ring in the New Year with one of the best sections of the FNST. What better way to start off 2027? The Best is Yet to Come, and we'll see you there!
