2 States 1 Hike on Twelve Mile Creek

Saturday promises to be dry and around 70, so join me in hiking this trail that spans two states! Don’t worry the plan is to hike 4 miles (NOT 12 miles), but it is a linear trail so we will do a short car shuttle. I'm limiting attendees due to car shuttle.

The Cross-State Bridge on Twelve Mile Creek connects Waxhaw NC to Lancaster SC. This is considered an easy hike. It is a mostly natural surface single track trail that winds up and down along the creek. There are sections with great views of the creek from the upper bluff. We will stop at the 170 foot long suspension bridge for pictures.

We leave most cars at HC Nesbit Park, pack people in as few cars as possible, then I’ll lead a 5 minute shuttle to the beginning of hike. (I'll provide address too.) There are restrooms we can use before starting hike. At the end of the hike someone will take me back to my car and also anyone else who needs to get back to their car.

Bring water and wear good hiking shoes. You can use hiking poles if you like. NO dogs on this hike due to shuttle.

When entering HC Nesbit Park go to the end. Inside the traffic circle (with the bronze bust of HC Nesbit) take the gravel road off to the right. At the end is parking near the trail head.
