New Years Hike! Vertical Mile to Hollow Rock at Rocky Face

Let's start the New Year off with a hike- Moderate 3.6 miles with 705 ft elevation gain!

Hike: Vertical Mile to Hollow Rock Loop - Alltrails rates this as moderate. This will be slow paced. The vertical mile challenge is a decent incline on rock surface. Views are nice!
*Wear proper footwear for rocks, roots and leaves.

This loop encompasses several trails, the most difficult of which is the VMC (Vertical Mile Challenge). The long loop takes you around the back side of the dome for great views. A short trail takes you to another smaller loop that goes around the top of the mountain.

Parking: there is usually ample parking and there are restrooms.
