4-th of July Forest Hike at Davidson Ecological Preserve- 5 miles
Details
Celebrate the Fourth of July by escaping the crowds and enjoying a peaceful morning immersed in nature.
Join us for a relaxed, friendly hike through the beautiful Davidson Ecological Preserve, one of the area's most scenic and tranquil forest preserves. This event is designed for people who enjoy meaningful conversations, meeting new friends, and exploring nature at a comfortable pace.
We'll meet at Baker's Field , 200 Baker Dr, Davidson, NC 28036, at the back of Davidson College Historic Campus, and begin our walk through a shaded meadow before following the trail to the right toward the preserve's greenhouse.
From there, we'll continue along quiet, wooded trails deep into the forest beneath a beautiful canopy of mature trees.
Along the way, we'll experience some of the preserve's most peaceful and scenic sections while enjoying friendly conversation and the calming sounds of nature.
Our route will intersect portions of the preserve's popular 5K and 8K cross-country trail system, allowing us to explore different areas before looping back on a separate trail, creating a varied and enjoyable hike with new scenery throughout the walk.
