The weather should be clear and upper 70s to lower 80s this Saturday morning so let’s get out on a local hike.

Join me on the Masons Bend Trail in Fort Mill. It has beautiful views of the Catawba River and is one of my favorite hikes!

We will hike a little over 4 miles on this wooded, natural, linear trail on mostly flat terrain, taking two breaks. One short break at the lookout platform built by REI overlooking a beautiful spot on the river. The other break on a large cluster of rocks that extend onto the river, giving us an up close experience of its flow. After this break we turn around and head back the way we came.

Bring water and wear good walking or hiking shoes. Dogs on 6’ leash welcome but please bring a scoop bag.
NO RESTROOMS on this hike, so please take care of business BEFORE coming. There is a Love’s Gas Station at the northeast corner of I-77 and Sutton Rd

With attending this event you agree to attend at your own risk and Charlotte Piedmont Hiking Club or its leaders will NOT be liable for any injuries or mishaps.

Go through the Masons Bend neighborhood to get to the public parking lot.
NOTE that the address is Ct (NOT Ln or Dr)
Weir Ct
Fort Mill, SC
Make a LEFT on Weir Ct and go to the END, it empties into the parking lot, where there is easy trail access.
