Hiking Jizera Mountains

Join us for a hiking tour in the Jizera Mountains

Hi, I am Axel and I have recently become Organizer of Tours here. This tour is somewhat experimental for me, I’d like to ask you for feedback to arrive at a final design.

We will leave Liberec at 9:34 (am) and go by train via Raspenava to Bilý Potok. From the train station Bilý Potok pod Smrkem we will walk to the Hubertka, where we can have a lunch break. We will then continue on the trail as posted below. According to Mapy, there seems to be only one more picknick area at Tišina. We should be back in Liberec at 18:23 or 19:25, depending on which train we take back from Bily Potok.

Route for hiking:

1. Starting at Bily Potok: We’ll begin our hike from the train station Bilý Potok pod Smrkem, and walk straight towards Hubertka. We should arrive there around lunch time and have a break.
2. Hiking route: Along the route, we’ll stop at viewpoints to rest and enjoy the landscapes.
3. Return to the Bilý Potok: Taking the train from there to Liberec.

## ⏱ Timeline:

• 9:00 - Group meeting at train station in Liberec
• 10:15 - Reach Bily Potok
• 10:25 – Departure to Hubertka
• 11:30...11:45 – Arrival at Hubertka and lunch
• 13:00 – Main part of hiking tour
• 17:00 – Arrival at train station Bily Potok
• 17:41 – Train departure to Liberec

## 🎒 What to Bring:

• Comfortable shoes suitable for gravel trails and walking on rocks
• Breathable, weather-appropriate clothing (layers recommended)
• At least 1.5L of water
• Light snacks
• Small backpack
• Cash for refreshments (some places don't accept cards)

## ℹ️ Important Information:

• Please arrive sufficiently early, the train leaves 9:34
• Event runs in light rain but may be rescheduled in severe weather
• Trail is well-marked

## 🚆 Getting There:

• Meeting point Train Station Liberec
• How to Get There from Prague:
  From Prague, you can take a direct bus to Liberec from the Černý Most bus station. The trip takes about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at the Liberec bus station, walk to the train station, it is just about 100 m south of the bus station across the street.
