About us
This group was created to help people explore nature with curiosity, awareness and intention. Hikes will encourage connection with others while also allowing for solo time and mindfulness. Each hike will include creative movement including Yoga and Tai Chi. The hikes will also include teachable moments about the local ecology. No experience or yoga mat needed. We are now based in Sonoma County, but hikes will be hosted throughout the East Bay, North Bay and beyond!
We also offer longer trips to other beautiful sites in California. Join us if you want to meet other people into hiking, nature and yoga and like to take time to smell the flowers along the way. Open to all levels of fitness and yoga experience.

Spring Equinox Yoga Hike
Bohemian Market, 3633 Main Street, Occidental, CA, USThis is a unique opportunity to hike in the Bohemia Preserve that is only open to hikes facilitated by trained docents.
Step into the magic of Bohemia Ecological Preserve to celebrate the first day of spring, where day and night meet in perfect balance.
We gather in the open oak woodlands of Bohemia Preserve — among rolling hills, native grasses, and emerging wildflowers — to honor this seasonal turning point with movement, breath, and sunset ritual. We will guide you on a curated journey where you will experience nature in a different way with ecological insights, yoga and mindfulness practices. Let the peace and rhythm of nature sink into your being as stress melts away.
Alok has been guiding nature experiences for over 25 years and brings a depth of ecological knowledge, reverence for the land, and a gift for creating meaningful connections. Along the trail, he will weave in teachable moments about the preserve’s ecology and native plants — along with gentle invitations to slow down and attune to the natural world around you.
We will hike to a hillside yurt where the movement practice will unfold, surrounded by open sky and rolling hills. Depending on conditions, we may also visit a small waterfall before continuing upward to the “Top of the World” — a panoramic viewpoint where we will gather to watch the sunset on this auspicious equinox evening. All are welcome, whether you’re a seasoned hiker, new to yoga, or simply curious to experience the preserve.
