Sunset Full Moon Hike to Wildcat Peak

Join Anjuli & Alok for a wonderful hike to one of the best viewpoints in the East Bay! It is about 4 miles round trip with a good climb to the top. Mindfulness practices will be offered on the hike up as we take the scenic route past Jewel lake. I will also offer nature wisdom of the local ecology as we go.

As long as it's clear, we will have the opportunity to watch the sunset and full moon rise at the same time on the peak! This hike will be canceled in the case of rain, but we will still hike if it's cloudy.

It is a moderately strenuous climb less than 2 miles to the peak. We will do some stretching at the trailhead at 4:15 and start hiking by 4:30 so we can get to the top while the sun sets over the bay. The view is spectacular!

We will loop back taking the shorter path under the light of the full moon. The goal is to get back to our cars around 7pm.

Bring layers, water, a snack and a willingness to connect with nature.

Post here if you want to carpool or if you can offer a ride. There is usually plenty of parking at the trailhead.
IMPORTANT: Check the map point below as we will meet in the parking lot at the bottom of the hill before going into the main parking lot. They can lock the gate to the main parking lot after sunset so best to park outside the gate!
