Elevate and Inspire: Peak Redwoods Hike
Details
For the first time, we are guiding our community on this stunning hike around Armstrong Redwoods to a beautiful viewpoint and finishes in the awe-inspiring ancient trees. This is a longer, more physically demanding journey than we typically offer and is meant for hikers who love a good challenge.
We will cover over 6 miles with 1,500 feet of elevation gain. The first 2 miles are almost all uphill with some undulating terrain, climbing to a sweeping vista at the top, then winding back down to rest among some of the oldest redwood trees in the world.
Along the way, expect ecological insights, breathwork, and embodied movement woven naturally into the landscape. We will stop less than usual on this route, letting the rhythm of the trail carry you.
This hike is strenuous and best suited for those who are fit and comfortable on challenging terrain.
Please bring 1 to 2 liters of water, layers, and sun protection. Trekking poles are helpful if you have them.
Alok has been guiding nature experiences for over 25 years and brings a depth of ecological knowledge, reverence for the land, and a gift for creating meaningful connections. Along the trail, he will weave in teachable moments about the preserve's ecology and native plants, along with gentle invitations to slow down and attune to the natural world around you.
Parking is $10 (unless you park outside the park). We're offering this on sliding scale contribution of $10 to $40.
Pay through Venmo @alok-rocheleau #1619 or let us know if you would like to pay at the event.
