Not flying home for the Thanksgiving holiday? Come join us for a warming and welcoming Thanksgiving dinner and hike.

We’ve (finally) pinned down the details for a location for our Thanksgiving holiday potluck, and it’ll be worth the wait! We will be meeting at a private facility in Redmond near 148th Ave. N.E. and N.E. 60th St., and it’s right next-door to Bridle Trails State Park. So after a wonderful meal we can hike the extensive wooded trails in the park. This clubhouse facility has lots of space to relax and enjoy a good holiday meal with friends, including a game room.

To confirm your spot please RSVP with a direct reply to your hosts, Tom or Luisa, by end of the day on Tuesday, Nov. 23, and indicate the number of people reserving (yes, friends and family are welcome). Also let us know what you’d like to bring to share – either a side dish, appetizer, drinks or a dessert. The main entrée of fresh organic turkeys and stuffing will be provided. After confirming your reservation we will send you a map of the building location in the complex, directions for accessing the main gate, building entrance and parking areas.

Doors will open at 11:30, and we will aim for food service to start around 1:00 PM. This should give us plenty of time for eating before hitting the trails to work off all those calories. If anyone is joining us for the hike only, let us know that too and we will provide a map of the Park Trail access location.

Since this is a private facility there will be a small fee of $15 per person (children free) to cover the cost of the facility rental and the entrée. Make arrangements for your payment to Tom Donnelly (cash, Venmo preferred) along with your RSVP.

Misc.: This is a non-smoking venue. And since we will be dining indoors we also ask that all attendees have proof of vaccination available.

Drop us a note if you have interest in carpooling and we will try to link up people to share a ride. The facility is also served by Metro. From the light rail link connect at the University stadium station to bus number 255, x to number #245 (check trip planner app for more details).

We look forward to seeing you on Thanksgiving day!
