This is an official, internationally recognized Day Hiking Certification course covering Class I to IV terrain — taught in line with military, ranger, and international mountain leadership standards.
This is not just a hiking class. It’s a professional training and credentialing program backed by national parks, special operations, SAR, and global wilderness organizations.

### 🎓 Course Structure:

  • 2-day / 18-hour total (not overnight)
  • Covers guiding on non-winter terrain up to Class IV
  • Client management, pacing, permits, and physical readiness
  • Guide pack construction, class IV navigation, and hazard negotiation
  • Global recognition and certification structure
  • Field log requirement + final assessment
  • Over 700 certified guides and counting

### ✅ Certification Requirements:

You may attend training without certification, but to be certified you must already hold:

  • ✅ CPR / AED certification
  • ✅ Wilderness First Aid certification
  • ✅ Competency in map + compass navigation
  • ✅ Wilderness survival experience (Fire, Shelter, Water, Food)
  • ✅ Leave No Trace awareness certification

For those who do not yet meet the prerequisites, we offer training for each of the required certifications. Contact the Scheduling Department Admin for coordination.
🌍 This program is recognized by National Park Services, U.S. and international agencies, and practiced by Special Forces, Rangers, SAR, and law enforcement worldwide.
