We’re entering a new chapter — and with it, a more intentional way to care for this space and the people in it.
Starting now, all members will be asked to complete a brief Verification Form and schedule a private Zoom check-in before joining hikes, adventures, events, training sessions, carpool, club lodging etc., or private circles.

### 🧭 Why This Matters

This club isn’t built on RSVPs or social clicks.
We shape events around the people who show up — their presence, pace, and purpose.

To protect that kind of space, we need to know who’s stepping into it. That means screening for trust, safety, and alignment before we build something together.
This isn’t about gatekeeping — it’s about grounding.

### ⚠️ If This Feels Like Too Much...

We understand that filling out a verification form may feel like a lot — especially in a world where most groups just let anyone join and go. But those groups? They’re taking shortcuts that can come with serious risks.
No background checks. No health awareness. No vetting.
Some of them are stacking the deck with RSVPs — without proper safety planning, permits (where required), or oversight — putting members and public spaces at risk.
We’re not building for volume.
We’re building for safety, care, and genuine connection.

And we follow the laws and rules on special use permits — which both organizers and attendees can be held accountable for if violated.( Most Group Hikes )

We take this seriously — and we’ll be posting a training session soon for both hike leaders and participants on how to obtain or verify if a special use permit was obtained or not, when its needed , the laws points of contact etc. Which vary depending on locations, states, if state or federal and private areas.

This isn’t just about hiking — it’s about holding space with care.

That requires a little more from each of us — but it gives back much more.

If that approach doesn’t feel right for you, that’s okay — but this may not be the right club for you.

You’re welcome to remain a member if already approved, but verified participation is required for all private events, carpools, overnight hikes, and co-host roles.
There’s no shame in saying “not for me” — & no pressure either. But if you are looking for something grounded, intentional, & safe — we’ll walk with you every step of the way.
