📅 October 18, 2025
Crowded trail day at Mt. Tammany — the parking lot was overflowing by mid-morning, but thanks to the park ranger, I managed to get a safe parking spot and a brief check-in before heading up.
The trails were packed, and it turned into a real-world field test of safety, awareness, and composure
🐻 Bear Encounter Segment
A key section last part of the video covers wildlife response and real-time safety coordination after a bear sighting on the lower switchbacks. Includes de-escalation, ranger contact protocol, and guidance for hikers in distress.
Note: The woman seen running from the bear was assisted and unharmed.
Moments like these remind us why preparation, presence, and situational awareness matter on high-traffic trails.
