🏔️ Welcome to Hiking for 30's & 40's Singles COS! 🥾
Hey everyone! If you're looking to connect with like-minded single individuals in their 30s and 40s who enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, then this is the group for you. Whether you're single, looking for a connection, or simply wanting to make new friends, you'll find a warm, welcoming community here. Let's explore the beautiful landscapes of Colorado Springs together, create lasting memories, maybe meet someone special, and form new friendships!
Come join us for a hike and hopefully meet someone new!
Because we want this to be a safe, comfortable, and awesome space for everyone—both on the trails and in the chats—we have a few simple guidelines to keep the vibe right.
### 🎯 Shoot Your Shot, But Read the Room
It’s a singles group, so feel free to mingle, chat, and exchange numbers! However, always be respectful. If someone isn't responsive, keeps the conversation short, or seems uninterested, take the hint gracefully.
### 🛑 No Means No (And Silence Means No, Too)
This is our golden rule. If you ask for someone's number, social media, or a date, and they say "no," "I'm not interested," or if they just don't reply—that is your cue to stop.
- Zero tolerance: Persisting, badgering, or getting defensive after a rejection will get you immediately removed from the group.
### 💬 Keep it Clean and Comfortable
Keep the group chat and initial DMs respectful. No unsolicited explicit photos, crude comments, or aggressive behavior. Treat your fellow hikers the way you’d want to be treated.
### 🤫 Respect Privacy & Report Issues
Please respect people's privacy. Don't screenshot private conversations to gossip in the main group.
- Exception: If someone is harassing you, making you feel unsafe, or breaking the rules, please take a screenshot and report it.
> ### 📢 A Note From Your Host, Shane:
>
> I want everyone to feel safe putting themselves out there and joining us for these adventures. If anyone ever makes you feel uncomfortable, unsafe, or crosses a line, please DM me (Shane) anytime. I will handle it quietly, discreetly, and immediately. Your safety and peace of mind are my top priorities.
### ⚖️ Liability Disclaimer and Risk Waiver
By joining this group and/or participating in any of our events, you agree to the following terms:
- Assumption of Risk: You understand that participating in group activities can carry inherent risks of injury, illness, or property damage. You voluntarily choose to participate and assume full responsibility for your own safety, well-being, and property before, during, and after any event.
- Release of Liability: This group is a social community organized by volunteers. By RSVPing or attending, you agree to release, waive, and discharge the organizer(s), co-organizers, event hosts, and members from any and all liability, claims, or demands arising out of any injuries, losses, or damages.
- Personal Responsibility: You are solely responsible for ensuring you are physically fit and adequately prepared for any event you attend (including bringing proper gear, food, water, or medication).
- Guests: If you bring a guest, you are responsible for informing them of this disclaimer, and they agree to these terms by participating.
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not join the group or attend events.
Let's head out, enjoy the beautiful COS trails, and have some unforgettable experiences together! See you on the next hike! 🌲🎒
