Deep thinkers meet Monk Kom: Q&A on training the mind

🧘♂️ Introducing Monk Kom, a Buddhist monk, meditation instructor, and a PhD scholar who has spent 12+ years as an ordained monk.
In this session, we will explore how the mind works from an eastern perspective, insights on suffering from a Monk perspective, and ways to train the mind for achieving enlightenment.
Monk Kom has devoted his life to mindfulness meditation. For the past 6 years, he's been teaching meditation at the Dhammakāya Meditation Centre of Newcastle.
Academically, he holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree (Computers) at the #1 ranked university in Thailand, another degree from a Buddhist university, a Masters in Mindfulness in Scotland, and is now pursuing a PhD in modern Buddhism with a focus on its doctrinal and meditative aspects.
🪷 How the event will go:
1.) 3-minute Monk Guided Meditation
2.) The host will start the conversation with a question for Monk Kom; opening up themes around the mind, suffering, inner transformation (~10-15 min)
3.) Open Q&A for any attendee who have Qs for Monk Kom. The floor is yours.
4.) Post discussion integration
This will be a remote event for the local SB deep thinkers community. I will paste the meeting link on the event chat section 2 days before the event (visible to attendees only).
