Topic for our discussion:

The blind spot of achieving goals; when was the last time you optimized for something and it led to a less favorable outcome?

When it comes to life goals, it can be rare to choose them from a true authentic place. It’s common to keep running towards a life goal we’ve picked years ago, conditioned by our caregivers & society, or forged from untended psychological wounds. This could lead to optimizing for something that is favorable to the outdated version of us, but perhaps isn't to who we are now or who we’re becoming.

So for this event, we will deeply explore and brainstorm:

  • What is worth optimizing for vs what is not?
  • What kind of state (mental, spiritual, emotional) should one be in when investing in something? And how can we be in that state?

The trail is 2.1 miles, over 100ft of elevation, considered an easy coastal hike.

I will meet you by the entrance of the trail, wait for everyone, then begin hiking at 8:10am.

Meditative beach picnic is optional after this short hike (please bring your own food / snacks).

📍Ellwood Forest Park Loop
