BASECAMP is situated in a malaria free area, only one kilometer from the Bakgatla gate to the Pilanesberg National Park and the Ivory Tree Game Lodge. The unique geology of the ancient volcano has created a wilderness wonderland for all to admire and enjoy. The guided adventure activities will not only get your heart rate up, but also teach you about the local fauna and flora of this unique geological wonder
TOTAL COMPULSORY COSTS:
1. Hiking, Accommodation, Admin, Misc - R 750pp
An immediate R 375 deposit gains you a spot. This must be paid within 48 hours of your RSVP. The full amount of R 750 is required if you RSVP after 31 March 2025

1. NO REFUNDS provided within 7 days of the event
TRAVEL / LOCATION:
1. Distance from PTA - 180 km: Appr 2.5 hours
2. Distance from JHB - 200 KM: Appr 3 hours
******NB - Travel during day on Saturday to arrive before 17:00
ITINERARY & ACTIVITIES:
1. Saturday - 14/06/2025 @ 14:00 arrival
2. Sunday - 15/06/2025 @ 7:00 - Mamitlwa Hiking trail. 10kilometers, 5hours,
3. Monday - 16/06/2025 @ 7:00 - RaMolope Hiking trail, 4kilometers, 3 hours
4. Monday - 16/06/2025 @ 11:30 Depature
ACCOMMODATION:
BASECAMP offers a variety of rustic style accommodation with electricity and water. Bring your own camping gear and towels. However, bedding is provided
1. 1 x twin rooms, with private shower and toilet, which sleeps two people
2. 2 x family room with 4 beds, private shower and toilet, which sleeps four people each
3. A communal kitchen with electricity, fridges, microwave, gas cookers and all the equipment you need is available for guests staying in rooms.
4. 10 PEOPLE MAXIMUM
CATERING:
1. Bring own food. Braai stands/area available. There will be fires for communal braais, Saturday and Sunday

FITNESS:
1. You are required to have an intermediate level of fitness for both trails
INDEMNITY:
1. You are participating in Weekend Nature and Hiking Gateways activities do so at OWN RISK.
2. The Organizers and Hosts are indemnified from any loss, injury or any incident that prejudices Members
3. Members must ensure that they have the required hiking gear to comfortably participate in the event
