Let’s enjoy a hike to Hodaka-ko in Rokko mountain. Hodaka-ko is a beautiful lake (or pond?) located close to the top of Mt. Maya.
Starting from Hankyu-Rokko station, we head for the lake through a valley route called Cascade Valley that has many beautiful small waterfalls.
After enjoying a nice scenery of the lake, we go down through a ridge route which has a good view point called Tengu-iwa where you can see the 360 degree of Rokko Mountain area, to the same Hankyu-Rokko station.
Walking time is about 5-6 hours. It's not a difficult hike technically, but you need to have a good physical strength to join this hike.
Meeting point:
Hankyu-Rokko station (ticket gate) in the Hankyu line
Requirements/What to bring:
Lunch, water, rain gear, good hiking boots
