• Description of the Hike/Descripción del excursión

• We will meet at 10.00 at La Garraf train station. From there we will start the climb up into the Garraf mountain, following the GR92. It's quite steep and takes about an hour. After that it's an easy walk along a wide path. The scenery is very rugged and at times we enter into shady forests. At Vallgrassa we pick up the GR92.4 , which will lead us to the Palau Novella, The Buddhist Monastery. It is truly a beautiful place with lovely, light energy. We can't enter inside the Monastery without paying but we can go into the cafeteria to eat. The monks make tortillas and small empanadas and tasty little cakes. We can also eat some of our own food as long as we buy something there. After lunch and spending time soaking up the atmosphere , we will continue the route along the GR92.4, passing the old abandoned village of Jafre, This town is allegedly an old ghost town with many legends and mysteries. The hike will work its way down through the countryside and forests of the Garraf, picking up the GR92 again and ending at Levantina, Sitges.

Nos encontraremos a las 10.00 en la estación de tren de La Garraf. Desde ahi iniciaremos la subida al monte Garraf, siguiendo el GR92. Es bastante empinado y dura aproximadamente una hora. Después es un paseo fácil por un camino ancho. El paisaje es muy accidentado y por momentos nos adentramos en bosques umbríos. En Vallgrassa cogemos el GR92.4 , que nos llevará al Palau Novella, El Monasterio Budista. Es realmente un lugar hermoso con una energía encantadora y luminosa. No podemos entrar al interior del Monasterio sin pagar pero podemos ir a la cafetería a comer. Los monjes hacen tortillas y pequeñas empanadas y sabrosos pastelitos. También podemos comer algo de nuestra propia comida siempre que compremos algo allí. Después de comer y de pasar un rato empapándonos del ambiente, continuaremos la ruta por el GR92.4, pasando por el antiguo pueblo abandonado de Jafre, este pueblo supuestamente es un antiguo pueblo fantasma con muchas leyendas y misterios. La ruta descenderá por la campiña y los bosques del Garraf, retomando el GR92 y finalizando en Levantina, Sitges.
