• Description of hike
• We will meet outside Vilanova station at 10.00. We'll then head down to the beach to start the route. It begins at the extinguished Lighthouse, Far de Sant Cristòfol. We'll enter the gardens as it's a great Mirador to take a few photos of the sea and the beach of Vilanova. From here we'll cross over the railway track into the forest of Miralpeix where we'll follow a wide path. There are stunning views of the sea for most of the way. At times we'll enter into narrower winding paths in the Mediterranean forest. It's an easy path at times climbing a little bit and then declining. The path descends steeply with loose stones for a short while after the Castell de Miralpeix. There are impressive views of Sitges and Sant Pere in the distance as well as the numerous vineyards that line the way. Once we leave the forest of Miralpeix, we'll commence the route up to the charming town of Sant Pere, passing through the picturesque village of Puigmoltó with its pretty whitewashed houses. We'll continue on to the enchanted, 1,000 year old castle of Sant Pere. It really is an impressive castle with a Mirador offering fantastic views of the mountains that surround Sant Pere. We'll have lunch here in a bar (you can bring your own food but must buy a drink) After we'll head into the main square with its landmark, very attractive two steepled church. We'll start our descent into Sitges, again passing the numerous vineyards that line the way. We'll circle the back of Vallpineda to end in Poble Sec and the train station. We should arrive back at about 16.00

Nos encontraremos fuera de la estación de Vilanova a las 10.00. Nos dirigiremos a la playa donde comenzaremos la ruta. Se inicia en el Faro magnífico, Far de Sant Cristòfol. Entraremos en los jardines ya que es un gran Mirador para tomar unas fotos del mar y la playa de Vilanova. Desde aquí cruzaremos la vía del tren para adentrarnos en el bosque de Miralpeix donde seguiremos un amplio sendero. Las vistas del mar son impresionantes durante la mayor parte del camino. A veces nos adentraremos por senderos más estrechos y sinuosos en el bosque mediterráneo. Es un camino fácil a veces subiendo un poco. El camino es muy empinado con piedras sueltas por un corto tiempo después del Castell de Miralpeix. Hay unas vistas impresionantes de Sitges y Sant Pere a lo lejos, así como de los numerosos viñedos que bordean el camino. Una vez abandonado el bosque de Miralpeix, iniciaremos la ruta hasta el encantador pueblo de Sant Pere, pasando por el pintoresco pueblo de Puigmoltó con sus bonitas casas encaladas. Continuaremos hasta el encantador castillo de Sant Pere, de 1.000 años de antigüedad. Es realmente un castillo impresionante con un mirador que ofrece fantásticas vistas de las montañas que rodean Sant Pere. Almorzaremos aquí en un bar. Podemos traer nuestra propia comida pero tenemos que comprar una bebida. Después nos dirigiremos a la plaza principal con su emblemática y atractiva iglesia de dos campanarios. Luego iniciaremos el descenso hacia Sitges, pasando de nuevo por los numerosos viñedos que bordean el camino. Daremos la vuelta a Vallpineda para terminar en Poble Sec y la estación de tren. Deberíamos llegar de vuelta sobre las 16.00.
