Achill and Nephin.

Heading to Mayo in July, the weekend of Friday July 12th for “Hiking in Wicklows” summer get together 🙂. A repeat of last September’s trip which proved very successful.

There will be two hikes over the course of the weekend. On Saturday we will head to Achill and do a looped hike taking in the fantastic Keem bay, Achills amazing cliffs and climb Croughan 688 metres, Achill’s high point.

On Sunday, we will climb Nephin (806metres), Ireland’s highest standalone mountain.

Festivities for the weekend will be based around Mulranney/Nevins Newfield Inn, just outside Mulranney. Excellent food, drink and live entertainment every evening 👍. Quality Accommodation available here also, as an option, if people wish to enquire.

Up to everyone to book their own lodgings. I would recommend people to base themselves around Mulranney/Achill. Further a field, Newport etc also options.
