4th Expedition: Geumosan (Gumi)

Details
4th Expedition: Geumosan, Gumi city, Gyeongsangbuk-do.
Geumosan is a mountain outside Gumi city. The mountain is accessible on foot from Gumi Station (about 1.5-2km). The route includes a walk around a reservoir, and a waterfall/cave. Also, this hike includes number of small temples, including one near the mountain summit, Yaksuam Hermitage. The summit provides a 360degree panoramic view.
The hike itself is MODERATE difficulty, the trails are well traveled and is suitable for beginners. However, the ascent will be steep, as it essentially a lengthy staircase. There is an alternative route to the top, but it requires some climbing over rocks and is less direct. It bypasses the popular sights but offers beautiful, scenic views.
