6th Expedition: Gyeryongsan National Park (Daejeon)

Expedition subject to change based on weather conditions. Please confirm RSVP by at least 2 days before the event. Due to restrictions, only six members are allowed at this time. Thank you.

Schedule

1. Ride KTX from Seoul Station to Daejeon Station
   (KTX 11 7:30am - please arrive at Seoul Station by 7:00a.)
2. Ride Subway to Daejeon National Cemetary Station. Transfer bus (Daejeon Bus 107) to Donghaksa Temple.
   (Due to Cherry Blossom season, the bus may not take us directly to Donghaksa Temple, but to the nearby base camp area)
3. Hike to Gwaneumbong via the Donghaksa Course (estimated time 4-5 hours) 2,000won admission fee collected by KNPS.
4. Complete hike, eat meal in the Donghaksa base camp area or location in Daejeon.
5. Return to Seoul via KTX from Daejeon Station (1 hour).
   Our return time is flexible - but we will return Saturday afternoon/evening. (Members should anticipate a full-day commitment)

Equipment (recommended)

Comfortable hiking boots, Two 500ml of water and/or sports drink like Gatorade, backpack, snacks, hiking poles (if desired), extra change of socks, light jacket or windbreaker, camera/smartphone.
