Hike along Little Gunpowder River - 5 miles moderate followed by lunch

We will be hiking the loop made with the white Little Gunpwoder Trail South of the river combined with the yellow Railway trail on the North side for the return.

We will step off EXACTLY at 9:45.

This is a favorite local trail because of the great scenery and varied terrain. Lots of ups and downs but no major hills (all less than 200 feet). Please be able to keep up a 2.5 miles per hour pace for 2+ hours. There will be multiple smaller hill climbs and the terrain has rocks, roots, and the trail is not paved.

The main loop is 4.5 miles. At the half way point we will vote on adding a 1.5 mile loop with some hills for extra challenge.

Dogs are welcome but they must be well behaved and on lead at all times. There will be a group lunch afterward.
