Join Hiking n’at for an approximately 8-mile out-and-back adventure through the beautiful Laurel Ridge State Park!
This hike offers scenic forest trails, impressive rock formations that we will walk through, possible wildlife sightings, and plenty of opportunities to connect with other outdoor enthusiasts. It also includes a couple of challenging uphill stretches—because apparently, Laurel Ridge believes breathtaking views should be earned!
Don’t worry: we’ll maintain a comfortable group pace, take breaks as needed, and encourage each other up the hills. Complaining about the climbs is completely acceptable, provided it is done with creativity and a sense of humor.

Laurel Ridge State Park trailhead, just off Route 271 between Johnstown and Ligonier.

• Out-and-back route
• Moderate to challenging terrain
• A couple of tough uphill sections
• Forest scenery and fascinating rock formations
• Good conversation, new connections, and plenty of “Are we at the top yet?” moments
Please bring plenty of water, sturdy hiking shoes or boots, snacks, and clothing appropriate for the weather. Trekking poles may be especially helpful on the hills.
